After earning my MSW at University of Washington, I held a series of jobs that informed my understanding of how trauma arises. From being a social worker at a Level 1 trauma hospital, to working the INCU and a pediatric HIV clinic, to over a decade in my therapy practice, I’ve seen so many stories that all come down to healing from traumatic experiences.

Within that time frame, the greatest influence on my practice came from the birth of my daughter. In her early years, she went through a series of traumatic experiences. This caused me to do a lot of research and learning in order to help her feel safe in the world.

That research led to years of experience providing most mainstream therapies. I’m also trained in somatic experiencing, a unique approach to regulating one’s nervous system. I am also a trained Reiki practitioner. When I saw the transformation that a regulated nervous system, the movement of stuck energy, plus a safe space for self exploration created for my daughter, I wanted to do that for others… myself included. I’ve made a lot of external changes in my life, as well as a lot of internal work.

I’m not coming from an academic pedestal - I’m coming from lived experience coupled with extensive research and experience. And I would love to help you discover the results of that as well.
